現任安德魯‧美倫基金會（Andrew W. Mellon Foundation）總 裁，並於一九七二至一九八八年間，出任普林斯頓大學校長，曾與多位 學者合作出書。最新著作是與德瑞克‧波克（Derek Bok）合著之《河 流的外形：大學院校入學的種族考量之長期結果》（The Shape of the River: Long-Term Consequences of Considering Race in College and University Admissions），其他尚包括與湯瑪斯‧耐格倫（Thomas I.
